Today the Exmouth Town Council Grounds Team came to help us clear, weed and tidy the Station side of the underpass. its a year since we tackled this DCC Highways area. Wow what an amazing task and what team work. Tony had the hedge trimmer and a saw and worked his way through all the hedges and Cordyline trees and our team followed on with raking and weeding the undergrowth…….. throwing everything onto the path ( except the cans and bottles which filled one of our large orange bags). Then our sweepers and baggers-up came through to pile everything into 3 dumpy bags. I can honestly say it was hard work but we has a lot of fun and laughed a lot. We truly ‘made the difference’ which is our motto of course.
Thank you to all the volunteers who made the work so enjoyable and of course to ETC Grounds team Tony, Neil and Simon and to Streetscene’s Adam who picked up the bags of waste for composting.
Job well done!
